Nathan Cooke - Managing Director Nathan is an instructor and alumni of Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. He is passionate about teaching the next generation of designers, with prior teaching experience at MIT and Harvard. He also co-founded Sanergy, a social enterprise in Nairobi, Kenya that transforms human waste into fertilizer. A native Angelino, he wants to cultivate the design thinking framework in all those who seek to improve this oasis in a desert.

Jim Sarratori - Director of Operations Jim is architect at Pfeiffer Partners Architects in downtown Los Angeles and has a B.Design (University of Florida) and M.Arch (Arizona State University). After spearheading the Lamas Cultural Center project in 2012 in Peru with Architecture for Humanity he joined the board of directors, and has since helped transition the chapter into Open Architecture Collaborative. Jim believes that design can and should benefit all, not just the privileged. Additionally, he is a strong proponent of public transportation and bike advocacy.

Sara Loy - Director of Marketing and Outreach Sara Loy has her M.Arch degree from Southern California Institute of Architecture and her BA in Business Administration from Chapman University. She currently works for Pfeiffer Partners Architects in Downtown Los Angeles on various project types from Performing Arts Centers to Student Housing.  She has lived in the Los Angeles area her entire life and has become deeply committed to improving her community, with a firm belief that Architecture and Design can help affect positive change throughout the city.

Bryant Leung - Marketing Coordinator Bryant is a licensed architect in California and is an associate at COE Architecture International. At COE, he has designed thousands of housing units in the United States and abroad.  Prior to that he worked at HKS Inc. and USC.  He brings managerial, marketing, and communication insight and leverages his experience in the private sector towards larger humanitarian goals.

Jesus Camacho - Graphics Coordinator Having recently completed his Master of Architecture at UC Berkeley and with a background in visual arts media, Jesús is interested in utilizing our material and digital worlds as a means to skillfully convey ideas. He is a strong believer in the intrinsic power of design as a catalyst for positive change. He is interested in further exploring how design within the built environment can generate positive effects in our communities and ultimately enhance and uplift the human spirit. He currently works as a designer for HKS Architects and is on his path to earning his licensure.
