As part of an international movement and launch of a rebrand, the former Los Angeles chapter of Architecture for Humanity joins the organization Open Architecture Collaborative. After a year of working with the Chapter Network to develop a new organization, the Los Angeles Chapter will be launching today with leadership from Executive Board members, Anita Wong, Hector Puga, Jim Sarratori, Augustine Liu, and Peter Chen. Open Architecture Collaborative: Los Angeles is excited to re-open its doors to the Los Angeles and Orange County community to continue collaboration with design professionals and volunteers, promote hands-on experience, and empower our environments through design.
The Open Architecture Collaborative: Los Angeles will function under the national self-governing and fiscally sponsored California Benefactor Corporation of Open Architecture Collaborative as OAC applies for 501(c)3 status. In addition, the Los Angeles Chapter is currently looking to expand its Executive Board by adding the roles of Membership Coordinator, Graphics Coordinator, and Events Coordinator. They are actively accepting applications for those positions.
The Los Angeles Chapter is looking forward to expanding opportunities by broadening its relationships with those once served in the previous years. With a volunteer and membership base of over 800 and numerous successful pro-bono projects, Open Architecture Collaborative: Los Angeles is welcoming new project proposals and expanding its numbers
