Interested in joining our leadership team? It's a great way to volunteer on a more permanent basis, network, and learn more about the inner-workings of a non-profit organization. We are currently looking for 3 new coordinators: Events Coordinator, Social Media Coordinator, and Membership Coordinator. The coordinator role means you will be working under one of our directors, in this case the Marketing Director or Operations Director, in a specialized and specific capacity. If you are interested, please send us an email stating the role you are interested in and your qualifications to email@example.com. Also, if you want to meet us first and learn more about the roles, join us at our next happy hour!
We had a great discussion and some great ideas tonight at the D4D Task Force Meeting! We look forward to participating in the conversation and will continue striving to affect measurable and positive change in the accessibility of housing for the homeless.
Join us for our bi-monthly happy hour next Thursday! This month is at Solidarity in Santa Monica from 6:30-9:30pm.
We have started our work on Phase Two of the Avalon Carver Community Center project! Phase One included a lot of research and data gathering and now we are starting the fun...community collaboration/research and design! The OACLA team and our amazing volunteers will be working with the community to fully understand the many needs and opportunities of this extremely active and historic community center, while re-imagining what this space can be and how it can best serve the local community. Below is our first interview with some of the community leaders, an inspiring exchange that will be extremely helpful in informing the final programming and design!
We teamed up with the Advocacy Committee at AWA+D (Association of Women in Architecture + Design) to march for equity, diversity, and unity!
We did it! Now for the wait. We can't share our submission yet, but we will know the results in March! Stay Tuned...
